Praying for God Blessing for the Future! May 2018

              Nearly six years ago we began a journey of ministry together. It is hard to believe how far God has grown us as we have done life and ministry together during that time. We have reached out to our community, to our state, to our nation, and to our world. You have made me and my family feel more loved than we could ever imagined possible and we have loved you in return. As many of you already know I have accepted a call to serve as the senior pastor of Heritage Baptist Church in Farmville, VA. May 13, 2018 will be my last Sunday in the Pulpit, I hope that you make plans to be hear on that Sunday as we Celebrate Mothers Day’s and also have planned a Baptism service for three new believers. There is still time to make plans to follow Christ’s example in Baptism, if you have not already. I can think of no better way to close out my time here at Providence Baptist church.

              This new calling is bittersweet as I am compelled to go where God leads and yet must leave my Providence family in order to do so. Just as I know if God is calling me to a new place of ministry, He has someone hand-picked to take you to places of ministry I cannot take you. He would not call me elsewhere without a plan to prosper you as he promises in Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

               Know that I love you and will be praying for you as we transition to the next steps God has for all of us.
